A few years ago, I was your typical office-worker: stressed out, uneven energy, overweight, and inconsistent complexion. Now I'm just your typical 28-year old urban hunter-gatherer on a quest to be healthy, and having a few adventures along the way. See my full bio.
The Debutante Hunters
This film about some Southern belles who hunt just won the audience award at the Sundance Film Festival. Here's the full thing, it's about 10 minutes long.
I love everything about these women.

Love this, Jon! I was raised
Love this, Jon! I was raised in a rural area and my father was a hunter. I never cared too much at the time, but I always remember him speaking about it with awe and how peaceful it was. Later, I became a vegetarian, but I never had an issue with hunting because I knew where my dad was coming from. At the time, I may not have agreed (much has changed since then! Ha!), but I understood that it wasn't just some meathead "I need to kill animals" idea. It gets me sad to think that some vegetarians may watch this and think that these women are lying about the deeply moving experience they have, that some will think "who do they think they're kidding? I'm not buying this".
